How is it made?

Our Pahadi Salt is made the traditional way, by Pahadi women who grind the rock salt on a silbatta (a large red stone) with two smaller stones.

How is Rock salt better than table salt?

Pahadi salt is minimally processed, keeping in tune with the traditional ways of salt making. The common industrial process of refining can often rid the salt of important minerals like potassium, calcium and magnesium. The table salt we commonly find in the market is also full of anti-caking chemicals as opposed to the all-natural Pahadi salt.

How to use it?

You can sprinkle Pahadi salt onto juices, common food items like parathas, fruit salads, juice, chaas, pani puri, curd, or even on an avocado toast! You can get really creative with the way you use this flavourful salt!

Can I have this every day?

Rock Salt is safe for daily consumption as long as you don’t go over the recommended sodium intake for a day, which should not be over 2,300 mg.

Is it safe to cook with?

Yes, Rock Salt is perfectly safe to cook with.

Where’s it sourced from?

We source our Rock Salt from the Pahadi regions of India.

Is it suitable for all age groups?

It is safe for consumption by children in smaller quantities since the sodium requirement for children is lesser than the one for adults.

What is the expiry?

The expiry date is x months from the date of manufacture.

Do you add any preservatives or flavouring to Pahadi salt?

Nope! We use all-natural ingredients, without adding any flavouring, colours or preservatives.

Is it pink in colour?

All our Rock Salts have been hand-grounded in with herbs, spices or seeds so they naturally tend to take on the colour of these spices. We don’t add any additional colouring to our salt.

Is it safe for blood pressure patients?

Rock Salt generally has lower sodium content as compared to regular table salt. It is perfectly safe for consumption. But if you do have hypertension, it is recommended that you consult your doctor before beginning regular consumption.

What makes Pahadi Salt so special?
