Herbal Teas Crafted from the Mountains, Made for You
Behind every Pahadi Story tea is a Pahadi woman farmer who woke up before sunrise, walked through mountain terrain, and hand-tended the herbs and flowers that eventually found their way into your cup. When you buy from us, you are not just buying tea. You are part of a quiet, ongoing story of people in the Himalayas building a livelihood through what the land gives them. That matters to us, and we hope it matters to you too.
Why Herbal Tea, and Why Now
Most of us are running on caffeine and not much else. Herbal teas are a gentle way to give your body something different without giving anything up. They are naturally caffeine-free, which means you can have a cup at 10pm without staring at the ceiling at midnight. They are made from real ingredients, not flavouring agents. And at their best, they actually do something for you, whether that is helping your gut settle after a heavy meal, giving you a moment of calm on a noisy day, or just tasting good enough to make you slow down for five minutes.
What We Actually Make
Our herbal tea range is small by design. We would rather make a few things really well than fill shelves with options that all taste the same.
Hibiscus Herbal Tea is made from dried hibiscus blossoms and brews into a deep, jewel-red cup that is tangy, naturally cooling and rich in antioxidants. It is the kind of tea that looks as good as it tastes.
Butterfly Pea Flower Tea is the one people cannot stop talking about. It brews a vivid, inky blue and turns pink or purple the moment you add a squeeze of lemon. Beyond the visual drama, it supports digestion and detox, and is completely caffeine-free.
Mango Fruit Tea is naturally mango-flavoured, gut-friendly and mood-lifting. Exactly what a lazy afternoon calls for.
Evermint Detox Green Tea blends green tea with lemon and mint for a clean, refreshing cup that helps your body reset. It is the one to reach for when you have had a long week and your insides feel like they need a deep breath.
How to Brew It Right
Good tea does not ask much of you. Here is what we suggest.
Boil fresh water and let it cool for just a minute before pouring. Use one teaspoon of leaves per cup. Let it steep for five to seven minutes, longer if you like it stronger. Drink it as it is, or add honey if you want a touch of sweetness.
If you are brewing the Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, squeeze in some lemon after pouring and watch it change colour in real time. It makes for a good moment.
For a cold brew, let the steeped tea cool, add ice, and refrigerate. Hibiscus and Mango Fruit Tea work especially well this way in summer.
How to Know You Are Buying a Good Herbal Tea
Not all herbal teas are equal. Here is what to look for when you are shopping around.
The ingredients should be real and recognisable. If the label reads like a chemistry exam, put it back. The tea should smell alive when you open the pack, floral or earthy or bright depending on what it is. And the brand should be upfront about where the ingredients come from. We always are.
On price, a good herbal tea does not have to be expensive. But it should be honest. Ours sit at a price that reflects what went into making them without marking up for the sake of it.

FAQ’s
1. Is herbal tea good for you every day?
Yes, most herbal teas are naturally caffeine-free and made from real dried herbs, flowers, or fruit, which makes them safe for daily drinking. Unlike regular tea or coffee, you can have a cup any time of day, including right before bed, without it affecting your sleep.
2. What is the difference between herbal tea and green tea?
Herbal tea is made purely from dried herbs, flowers, or fruit and contains no caffeine, while green tea comes from the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) and does contain some caffeine. Our Evermint Detox Green Tea blends the two, combining green tea with lemon and mint for a lighter, refreshing cup.
3. Why does Butterfly Pea Flower Tea change colour?
Butterfly Pea Flower Tea gets its deep blue colour from a natural plant pigment that reacts to acidity. When you add a squeeze of lemon, the pH shifts and the tea turns pink or purple right in front of you. It's a natural reaction, not a dye or additive.
4. How long should you steep herbal tea?
For most herbal teas, steep one teaspoon of leaves per cup for five to seven minutes. If you prefer a stronger, more concentrated flavour, you can let it steep a little longer. Butterfly Pea Flower Tea and Hibiscus Tea both hold up well to longer steeping.
5. Can herbal tea help with digestion?
Yes, several herbal teas are known to support digestion. Butterfly Pea Flower Tea in particular is linked to supporting digestion and detox, while Mango Fruit Tea is gut-friendly and gentle enough to enjoy after a heavy meal.
